The God Who Sees Me

God sees me!

Let that sink in for a moment. In a world that is inhabited by 7+ billion people, God sees me, and He sees you. He is that great. He loves us that much.

Whatever our circumstances, God sees us just as He saw Hagar when she fled Sarah’s cruel treatment. “She (Hagar) gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13-14

God sees us and knows our circumstances. Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Are you worried about finances? Are you sitting in a shelter because you’ve lost your home to wind and water? God sees each of us in our individual circumstances.

The good news doesn’t end with God seeing us.

He loves us through the circumstances. If we turn our eyes to Him and trust His sovereignty, He will give us strength and courage. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 

He will give us wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5

God sees us. He is our Guiding Light in the storm of life.
